The Second Coming

Woke early and went down for breakfast. The boat doesn’t leave until eleven so back up to my room for a relaxed pack and lay down, my back is pretty sore.

I head down to the beach for the boat about ten thirty for a pineapple shake, had to buy a Rouges T-shirt – the only one I’ve bought so far – it says “been there don det” (the island is Don Det if you didn’t already know)
Mama Buffalo decided to bring her baby down to the beach just as all the boats start to arrive/depart.
So they pile fifty or so of us onto two boats and a barge, glad I’m not on the barge, it doesn’t look so balanced.
Then we get to the mainland and they cramp us into a bus for the three hour journey to Pakse, I just kept popping panadol and Valium for my back pain.

Finally arrive at Pakse, I say farewell to Cedric who has been good company for the last couple of weeks. Myself and two Belgian girls who are flying to Laung Prabang go to the flight booking centre to confirm our bookings then get a Tuk Tuk to the airport.
We are in Laos so afternoon becomes evening but we finally take off and within an hour I’m back in Laung Prabang.

I drop my bags at the Guest House I stayed in last time and head straight for the food markets, eat up a storm then return to my room for a lie down, it has been a long day and my back is killing me.

I am unsure or not whether I should turn on the TV – it has been two weeks!
