The Return.

More importantly than why did the chicken cross the road - why does the rooster need to crow at four thirty in the morning?

So I’m up early and the morning is noticeably colder, jeans and a jacket! I watch some ABC news, yes of course I turned the TV on last night, Gold finger was on. One of my favourite Bond lines “Do you expect me to talk Goldfinger?” “No Mr Bond, I expect you to die!”

So I head down to my usual breakfast place and although it’s been nearly a month she smiles at me and asks “same same?” she remembered my order.

Greg and Peng turned up, she is driving him nuts and he’s trying to get her on a boat back to her village so he can have some free time. They are not “together”, he is hoping to marry her eldest daughter, ummm, it’s just a strange Lao thing.

So they wander off (so he can get her on a boat) and I head back to my room where he turns up an hour later trying to get it all off his chest. We go shopping, I need a new power adaptor for my laptop, I dropped the other one and it broke.

After this a bagel and a lemon mint ice tea at Jomos and we go down to the wharf to say farewell.
Animal acivists may want to look away now, transporting Buffalo.
The downstairs casino.
I leave them to it and go back to my room to catch up on a heap of emailing and such now that I have strong wifi again and change into my shorts, the cold morning only lasted until the sun came out and it is boiling hot again.
I head out for a massage about three and have some sticky rice with roasted chicken on the way.

Then I try to rest in my room after the massage which was fantastic but I’m too restless, must get down to the river for some sunset photos. Not much sun today but some beautiful colours.
The Hammer and Sickle next to the National flag, the union is still very strong throughout South East Asia.
You probably can't see in the photo but the tree branches are covered in what looks like smaller leaves or a strange fungi (that's me - i'm a strange fun guy!)
He actually caught a decent size fish from this net drop.
Greg joins me, a couple of beers later we go to the food markets for dinner after which I am worn out from the early morning cock call today so I head back to my room for some TV and rest, an early night.

I must gather my energy to strangle that rooster tomorrow morning!
