Let's Go To Thailand!

Slept well, up early and packed and ready to leave this place. The mini van picks us up around nine thirty and it is jam packed but somehow I ended up calling shotgun and got to ride up front with the driver, plenty of leg room and first out for a cigarette.
We made it to Vientiane by about one thirty and spent an hour and a half in the bus station eating and waiting for our bus to Khon Kaen.
It costs about one hundred and fifty dollars to renew a Laos VISA from Vientiane but about thirty five from over the border in Thailand so a plan is developing where I will get my VISA in Thailand and use the much better Thai bus service and roads to travel south and cross the border back into Laos down there.
At this stage I fully agree with the baby in the background.

We leave Vientiane about quarter to three and arrive in Khon Kaen about seven in the evening. I am tired and grumpy and we take a while to work out a hotel but finally settle on one, have a hot shower, cross the road to Tesco’s where the only food place open is KFC, he he, my greasy chicken fix and head back to our rooms about nine and crash.

My back is pretty sore it has been about nine hours give or take including stops and it’s stiffened up from sitting for so long, anyway I got some more nurofen which should take care of that, I’m ready for bed.
